How To Use Tea Tree Oil For Candida

by Betty Coombes

Our environment is replete with things that can infect us. This is more likely to happen should our natural balance of good and healthy bacteria is upset by the use of too much antibiotics. When this happens yeast growth can go out of control and you can get various forms of candida. Using tea tree oil for candida can control these infections.

Candida is another name basically for fungus infections. They can come in many forms such as jock itch, nail and yeast infections, itchy rashes and also thrush. Many topical and manufactured creams are available in your local pharmacy, though there are also alternatives. Going for a more natural approach such as the use of natural anti-fungal and anti-viral agents such as tea tree oil may in fact be just as effective.

Athletes foot is a very common form of fungus that affects all of us. We can get it from having moist feet all the time and especially when we are in tropical conditions. One can put the oil on some cotton which you can use to dab the affected area once to thrice daily. Also massaging your feet daily with the oil will help reduce the incidence of it happening again.

Vaginal yeast infection is something that women contend with and are embarrassed of. However, this can easily be cured by mixing one part of oil with twenty parts of clean water wherein the solution is used to dampen a tampon. The tampon is worn overnight and the procedure is repeated until there is an improvement in symptoms subsiding.

A common and painful kind of infection is nail fungus infection. Milder cases can be controlled by application of oil to the area three to four times a day. Be sure to apply this around the cuticle areas and also under the nails.

If the nail infection proves to be quite stubborn, then what can be done is a nail soak for ten minutes a day. Oil is mixed with five parts water to make the soaking solution. One should take care however to thoroughly dry the nails with a clean and dry cloth after soaking.

Using tea tree oil for candida definitely has its other benefits. By using a natural and home based solution, one can avoid many side effects that can occur due to using of industrial based medicines which are allergies and such. It also saves frequent trips to the pharmacy as one bottle of oil can last for quite a bit since not so much is needed per application. Apart from that, it will help you save on your dollars in terms of consultation fees for a very simple medical problem.
